Chomi Groman
Hi and welcome to my artistic world, where the timeless beauty of classical art merges seamlessly with the dynamic energy of the contemporary era. Inspired by the rich teachings of traditional art academies, my technique is firmly rooted in the fundamentals of classical art.
Growing up in a traditional Jewish Orthodox community, I was immersed in a world steeped in history, heritage, and spirituality. This upbringing profoundly shaped my artistic sensibilities, infusing my work with a deep sense of meaning and cultural resonance. As I embarked on a journey towards a more modern lifestyle, I decided to embed my old traditional education into my new lifestyle and art, merging the old and the traditional with the modern and contemporary, creating a different aesthetic paving the way for a new chapter of artistic exploration.
In every composition, I strive to create a harmonious interplay between the classical and the avant-garde. By skillfully fusing traditional techniques with innovative approaches, I infuse my canvas with chromatic colors and atmospheric compositions. The resulting artworks are a testament to the enduring power of art to connect generations and to bridge gaps.
In 2019 I embarked on my academic art studies in Avni Institute, Tel Aviv, as well as the history of art in the open university. I currently teach the fundamentals of classical art in my private studio in Mazkeret Batya, additionally I teach art at Gezer cultural center, Yad Charif, Ashacar School.
